Nikon Nikkor-S 5cm 50mm f2 - MINT

Beautiful early standard lens engraved PAT PEND

The lens presented here is the early Nikkor-S in near-new condition. It is unusual in having the focus scale in "m" only, not the more common "feet" focus scale. These lenses were usually made for the local Japanese market so lack the "LENS MADE IN JAPAN" engraving found on lenses for export. It also features the rare PAT PEND engraving.

Glass: Like new - no dust, haze or fungus, coatings in perfect condition.
Cosmetics: Near new - few small light scuffs on the barrel, otherwise bright and clean.
Mechanics: Perfect - focus is smooth, aperture ring with distinct and even clicks, aperture blades clean and snappy, clean filter threads, minimal wear on the mount.
Accessories: Original front Nikon cap, rear push-on cap
Compatibility: This lens is not Ai modified. It is fully compatible with Nikon F, F2 and Nikkormat cameras. Fits EL2, FT3, FE, FM, F3 and F4 with stop-down metering. Fits D40, D60, D3000 and D5000 but metering is not available. Will not fit other Nikon cameras.
Shipping: Shipping by International air (3-10 working days) includes insurance up to approx $180 US, extra insurance or tracking is extra.
